BEGI Component Quality

We have been taking a beating by a competitor that blessed and sold our equipment for years regarding “quality”. It was “great” then, but now it “has problems”.

It was my expectation that FM and BEGi would take “the high road” regarding nonsense attempts at mutual destruction via the path of “their crap has enormous problems, therefore your only logical choice is to buy our junk”. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like its going to be a two way deal.  Every individual in my organization has the explicit order to refrain from ANY criticism of ANY competitor. I’m not sure it always works, but that’s the order.  Should the one way deal continue, we will deal with it by an analysis of merits on a part for part examination.  Even though I am operating under the same gag order as all my people, I gotta tell you, that analysis would be an enormous amount of fun.

Regardless of who, what, or where, if you liked our designs and manufacture when the competitor sold them, our all new systems should prove very worthy of your approval.

In my view, whether it “was, is, has been, never was, will never be, will one day be again, always will be” or other, here is the deal: NO ONE WILL BUILD A HIGHER QUALITY TURBOCHARGER OR SUPERCHARGER SYSTEM FOR THE MAZDA MIATA THAN ME.......Corky Bell

Here’s my version of the meaning of “Quality”:

Quality of Design
  • Knowing where power comes from and adhering to the principles
  • Knowing where “useability” comes from
  • Knowing where the heat goes
  • Knowing all the materials involved
  • Knowing the characteristics of compressor air flows
  • Knowing how the turbine exhaust gas flows
  • Knowing how a wastegate works
  • Knowing why components are designed one way and not another

Quality of Engineering
  • Strength analysis of critical items
  • Heat effect analysis of critical items
  • Fastener analysis
  • Heat exchange calculations
  • Optimization of heat transfer direction and quantity
  • Verification of results

Quality of Manufacture
  • The exclusive use of the heli-arc welding process
  • All tube assemblies are of mandrel bent precision, heli-arc welded and bead rolled
  • Machine work precision with Digital Instruments
  • Appropriate and durable surface finishes
  • Parts Photos: Theirs vs. Ours

Quality of Components
  • The turbocharger selection and options based on performance
  • Stainless Steel braided fluid lines
  • T-Bolt hose clamps
  • Fastener selection

Quality of Engine Management
  • The XEDE system offered into the aftermarket by Mr. Shiv Pathak. The OEM’s ought to take notice of both the XEDE and America’s foremost aftermarket tuner,  Mr. Pathak.
  • The Rising Rate Regulator was introduced to the performance industry in 1975. It is still the best combination of performance and value for low boost systems.
  • I was one of the first people to use a fuel pressure regulator on a returnless fuel system.

Quality of Service
  • Information
  • Assistance during standard working hours and weekends
  • Knowledge
  • Promptness of response

Quality of Commitment

Recently we made the decision to market our designs, then known as the Miata FM turbo and “Uber” supercharger  systems.  Toward that end we wanted a clear stamp of new technology, thus we have redesigned virtually every component of the Miata forced induction systems.  Within the last seven months, we’ve built, documented, and tooled to produce eighteen turbo or supercharger system variations while the competition has introduced a new intercooler, throttle inlet tube for the MSM, a downpipe casting and an exhaust manifold. The level of effort and productivity offer an interesting comparison.  We have created and engineered these systems with a passion and intent beyond all reason. The results clearly suggest that whenever we’re caught thinking, i'm not thinking about shift knobs, strut bars and polished surfaces. I'm thinking about going faster.

This is what we have heard from customers in recent years:

"I am very happy to report that the Series II turbo kit with the BEGi fuel system still performs flawlessly.  Engine temperatures are normal, even when stopped in traffic in 95+ degree weather. The car does not have issues in the spring and fall like the (stock) MINI Cooper S."

"Thanks alot for all the help you gave us and for helping me buy the kit from you guys, I was happy with it when it ran, didn't explode, and didnt throw up liquids everywhere. Even when it ran like crap (due to a loose hosebarb) it was awesome, you guys rule."

"You guys have all gone the extra mile and I greatly appreciate the excellent customer service and knowledge you and BEGI had offered, I will definitely recommend BEGI to my miata co-conspirators!"

"Can I order an extra downpipe to put on my mantle for display?"

"All this for $3500.00? Really?"

"That's a work of art."

"WOW"

"242 rwhp? Hot Damn"

"Best lookin' stuff I've seen in the aftermarket"

"Best instructions I've ever read"

"Best looking design of any cast manifold in the aftermarket"

"Clean and Elegant"

"I just gotta have that beautiful downpipe"

"The Tuning God and The Turbo God, does life get better than this?"

"Simple Installation (adj) -Something easy enough for Stephanie to install."

"Wow!   I thought customer service was dead!!  Thanks so much!"

"Yes, that's the way I like it.  I beat an 02 turbo carrera 4 who would always beat me in the past.  How about that, RWD Miata spanks a $60,000 dollar Porche.  Oh Yeah!!!!!!   Just think how it will be when Steph gets me tuned much closer to perfect.  I think there is another 1.5 or more in this car.  BEGI RULES, MIATA RULES."
