BEGi Performance Engineering. Fuel Pressure Regulator. Cartech Regulator, FMU

Some of the Fuel Pressure Regulators or Fuel Management Units today are a direct copy of BEGi's unit. We have been fixing the knock off's for years. A word of caution - they do not work! Here is how to spot a fake of our 2020 FMU series. This does not apply to the MR regulator series.

1. May be Fake - A unit that does not have 'BEGI" on the top. We have shipped some units without the BEGi on it. However, most have it etched on there now.

2. Fake - The signal line fitting is at a 180 degree angle to the needle valve.

3. Fake - Any unit sold by Cartech. Cartech and BEGi are not the same company. They have not been associated for seven years. Cartech has copied the BEGi unit. They have gone far enough to have BEGi stamped on the top to pass it off as a BEGi unit.

4. Fake - The needle valve is pointed in an upward direction. Or perpendicular to the FMU conical surface. Some units have been repaired by BEGi and point the needle valve upwards, however that is a very rare occurrence.

5. All BEGi units will be stamped with a 2 to 4 digit number on the bottom.

6. All BEGi units will be stamped with an 'IN'.

We do monitor the listings on e-bay, and do report all items listed incorrectly. We strongly recommend that photos of the serial # be taken. If someone has listed an item incorrectly, we will inform them of the error and ask for correction. The e-bay item # is listed below along with description of the FMU. If this was a FMU / FPR made while BEGi and Cartech were the same company, it will be listed as a BEGi item. This list is updated daily.
